Call of Duty:Modern Warfare Wii FULL Details

http://callofduty.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=199266&sid=3f89eaba868ac5a482462f03585f6904

Here is where you can contact two Treyarch devs working on Modern Warfare the Wii. They answer all questions that they are allowed to answers. Make sure to read the full details first so you do not ask a repeat question that has already been answered.

Also, make sure to check by blpgaming.com as I am posting there under the name GameNewsnRumors.

Also, my site does have a URL now. It is egamingnews.webs.com. However, this is not the official site but more of a BETA that I am constantly tweaking. I do post news there. Don't worry, it will not always be on Webs. In about a month or so it will be going on one of my friends servers along with a .com domain name. Having it on FreeWebs is just a good way to test it and make sure all of my HTML works fine. This brings me to my other point. The site is in HTML, it was done by me. It is not that "noobish" Template mode. It is in advanced HTML mode. If you want, go visit the site, and send any suggestions you have for the site to me at gamingnewsnrumors@yahoo.com.

Site moving

Hello, the site is almost done now. I have a new site which will soon be egamingnews.com, and everything will go there, and this site will shut down. Also, I will still post here a little in the next few weeks, but not as much. All of my news and rumors will now be posted here - blpgaming.com where I am now a writer at.

The new site will be live in about a month.

XBOX 360 Price Cut Confirmed

It is official. After many rumors going on, and ads from your local Walmart about a $299 XBOX 360 Elite, Microsoft has confirmed the price drop of the Elite console. The XBOX 360 Pro was formerly $299, but now Microsft has dropped the price of the Elite down to that price so to compete with the new price drop from the PS3 Slim. The XBOX 360 Pro will no longer be available.

Look out Nintendo. Everyone's dropping prices but you.

PlayOn Movie Channel/Netflix now on your Wii

It is official, you can now watch movies on the Wii...not the disc kind, and not the downloadable kind. Instead you can watch live streaming videos from Hulu, YouTube, Amazon, ESPN, and Netflix.

First on any computer in your home, you need the PlayOn Software. PlayOn offers a Free 14 Day Trial before you have to pay $40 if you want to keep it, which I think is worth it. This isn't it though. You do still have to pay for NetFlix obviously if you want to watch that, because you just sign into your NetFlix account through the PlayOn Channel.

First on any computer in your home, go to www.PlayOn.tv When you are there, you can read-up on the PlayOn program, and download and install the software. Now to view it on your Wii, you will need this program to be running on your computer while viewing the videos on your Wii, because the videos are streamed from your computer, not the Wii internet itself. When you have that running, turn on your Wii, and use the Wii internet browser (It costs 500 Wii Points to get it, but is oh-so worth it). Then go to www.playon.tv Now the movies will all be available. Make sure first though to make sure that in the settings of the PlayOn software in your computer, you have logged in to YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, or whatever else you want to watch. These settings save, and you automatically log in through the Wii.

Now this is an Open BETA, so there may be some issues, and I'm sure that when it is completed and goes Live, there will be an actualy Channel to download rather than having to go through the internet browser. It is well worth it though.

Modern Warfare Wii details expected (More), PS3 Slim, XBOX 360 price cut

First of all, sorry I haven't posted in quite some time. I was away for the weekend. Secondly, I know some of you may be avoiding telling friends about this site because it seems kind of amateur because of the .tk domain, but think about it. I was one of the FIRST websites to post the full details about Modern Warfare Wii, so I get the info to you fast. Also, that new professional site is expected sometime within the next month or two. It is up and ready to go, but just waiting for my friend to finish the servers that I can put it on so I can be in complete control of my website without some other stupid company hosting it.

Okay, here we go. So after the recent announcement (By me, of course) of all the details for Modern Warfare Wii (5 vs 5 online, host migration, EVERY map, EVERY mode, customizable controls, etc), Wii players still want more info. They want gameplay videos. When Gamestop announced the full details (I posted the details about 2 days before them, that's ow quick I was to find out the info), they said they are looking to be the first to bring us hands-on gameplay. They couldnt record any gameplay at GamesCom 2009 due to Copyright infractions and everything. But we should be seeing some realy gameplay videos sometime within the next weeks, hopefully ASAP.

Also, I'm sure you have already heard about it, but the PS3 Slim was announced at GamesCom 2009 at an outstanding price of $299. Although many people aren't exactly ready to buy one ASAP this September when it is available due to over-heating concerns, as well as noticing that the next-gen consoles are believe-it-or-not right around the corner withing the next 1-2 years or so. I would love to get one, but my Wii will last me for another 2 years, especially since there are huge games expected such as a full-featured Call of Duty:Modern Warfare, The Grinder, and The Conduit 2.

Lastly, Walmart is already starting to list the XBOX 360 Elite at $299. The Elite is expected to just completely bump the XBOX 360 Pro (Or standard to most) off shelves.

Full COD4 Wii Details released

I know the graphics looked only decent in the screenshots we saw, but those are not the final graphics. Treyarch has said they are barely at a BETA, and will make the graphics better. Also, these details will blow Wii owners away.

-5 vs 5 online (Improved over World at War wii's 4 vs 4)

-All game modes and all maps (Improved over World at War Wii's 50% of the maps, and 15% of the game modes)

-No Wii Speak or Motion Plus

-Host migrationg (Which means the game doesn't end anymore when the host leaves like it does in World at War Wii, it just looks for a new host)

THIS IS EXTREMELY GOOD NEWS.

New Modern Warfare Wii pictures

First of all, let's just say that my prediction was right. We haven't found out details, but we can see the graphics.

http://media.wii.ign.com/media/902/902591/imgs_1.html

Now first of all, yes, the graphics are only as good as World at War for the Wii. But do we really want The Conduit-type graphics? No. The reason why is because, why do you think The Conduit has no line achievements, unlockables, etc? Because the graphics are too good. The graphics use up too much of the Wii's system to allow good maps, a good number of maps, or even a good number of weapons. Meanwhile, Call of Duty has decent graphics, but with Modern Warfare it is expected that we will get most of the game modes, most of the maps, and even some glitch prevention. Also, glitch patches are now possible in case there are game-breaking glitches found. So just remember, graphics don't make a game, gameplay does. So since World at War for the Wii is the best FPS on the Wii, then Modern Warfare will soon become the best because it will have the same graphics, but even more features.

PS3 Slim rumors - TRUE!

It has been announced at this week's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany that Sony will be shipping out the PlayStation 3 Slim in September at an excellentprice of just $299. It has all of the same features as the regular Playstation 3, but it's just smaller. Me being a Wii owner, I'm bought. I might be getting this. it is definitely worth it.

Also this week, look for details on the site about Modern Warfare Wii. Nothing has been announced yet, but after yesterday's trailer and details on Modern Warfare:Mobilized for the Nintendo DS, it is very likely that now is the perfect time for us to see something about Modern Warfare Wii. I'm expecting most of the maps and modes (After a worker for IGN said this), and good graphics, along with 6 vs.6 online play. All of this has been stated by an IGN employee, along with that Treyarch has been working hard on a new Wii engine to creature better textures.

RUMOR: Modern Warfare Wii to be at Gamescom?

Gamescom, the second biggest gaming convention of the year behind only E3. What would be a better opportunity for Activision to announce details or at least screenshots for Call of Duty:Modern Warfare for the Wii? This is only a rumor, no details have been confirmed.

World at Wii not rushed enough???

Many Wii gamers of the First Person Shooter Genre have speculated that Treyarch rushed the Wii version of Call of Duty:World at War and didn't really care about the Wii version. This is completely wrong. According to Shonuff of Treyarch, Treyarch simply ran out of time while developing the Wii version. They only used approximately 2.7 GB out of the 4.5 GB that is on a Wii disk. So could Nazi Zombies have been possible on the Wii? Most definitely. Some may be asking right now, 'so why didn't they just push back the release date?' Well, Activision never delays games, especially Call of Duty which ALWAYS comes out on November 10th every single year. So why couldn't they just update the Wii version to fill up the space? Well, Nintendo does not allow the patching or changing of the .elf files which are required for large amounts of Downloadable Content as well as patches. However, just the other day it was announced that now Live SD card streaming is possible which means DLC will be possible on the Wii in the very near future. So what am I trying to get across here? Well many people have been saying that Call of Duty:Modern Warfare for the Wii which comes out this November, will be as bad as World at War. Which actually by the way, World at War has been ranked as the number 1 First Person Shooter on the Wii, so even of Modern Warfare is only as good as WAW, it will still be one of the best Wii games so far. But now that Treyarch has plenty of time with Modern Warfare for the Wii because they are just simply porting an already made version, they will still have an extra 1.8 GB of space, enough to add in all of the maps, and keep many more game modes from the original verion. Splitscreen offline might even be possible.

Double XP for The Conduit?

I have been communicating recently with multiple devs from High Voltage Software about a possible Double XP weekend or week to help keep players around. In turn, they have pitched the idea to the rest of the team, and are working on getting this done. The answer I got? "This is an excellent idea and we have been working on it. We would love to do this. But it all depends on if it is possible."

So if it is possible, we will definitely see Double XP for The Conduit. I will keep you update as I continue to talk with High Voltage Software.

Nintendo offers Live SD Streaming with GH5

Remember that Wii System Update about half a year ago which brought an SD card menu to the Wii? Yes, we were all so excited, until we found out that you still needed space on the Harddrive to use something from the SD card, and it had to go through that tiny Hard-drive first. Not any more. With the release of Guitar Hero 5, Nintendo will create another update so you can stream DLC/Wii Ware and Virtual Console games straight from the SD card. Is your Harddrive full? No Problem, just go get an SD Card. Songs from Guitar Hero 5 can be played straight from the SD card. Also, with arrivals such as The Grinder in Q1 2010, there could be DLC and Glitch patches after the release date with this new ability of the Wii. It seems as though Nintendo is finally starting to realize they have to be kind to third party companies.

Modern Wiifare to get it's own servers?

While there still has yet to be ANY details of ANY kind about Call of Duty:Modern Warfare for the Wii, there is already a rumor that the game will not be using Nintendo's servers. No, it will be using Activision's servers. This will allow for friend requests without having to input friend codes, the ability to use Wii Speak with anybody even if they are not your friend, DLC, glitch patches, etc. However, this is just a rumor. But if this is true, this is SO AWESOME!!! This game will be the best ever FPS on the Wii if this is true.

Call of Duty:MW talks heat up

After a couple of days of the new swirling around and excitement among WIi Hardcore players (Yes Nintendo, there is actually a large community on the Wii who only play violent games including myself), the talks are really heating up. First of all, this is a good time to announce that Modern Warfare 2 will not be released for the Wii this year as it was rumored to, but most likely a 2011 release for the Wii. Okay, now for Call of Duty:Modern Warfare (notice the 4 is missing). There are basically two kinds of people I have heard from and talked too.

Player type 1: I can't wait for this game, it is going to destroy Call of Duty World at War for the Wii, and even The Conduit. It will be so awesome with modern weapons, all of the maps, and 6 vs 6 online play along with Wii Speak compatability. I love you Treyarch.

Player type 2: Awwww, Treyarch, you know what they did to us last time, just look at World at War. This game will be exactly the same as World at War.

Okay, now here's what I think, I true video game knower: This game will be amazing, much better than both The Conduit and World at War for the Wii. Yes, Treyarch did make one mistake with World at War. They toned the graphics too much, they made an awful friend system that involved annoying pop-ups in the middle of the match, and they made it only 4 vs. 4. But now Treyarch has learned. I know for a fact they have been watching Wii players the last year and listening to us, and they know exactly what we want. I believe it will be like this - 5 vs 5 or 6 vs 6 online, all of the original maps (Not the map packs), all of the weapons, Wii Speak compatability, and at least 6 different game modes (Not all versions of TDM and FFA, I'm talking actual S&D, Headquarters, etc.). This game will be amazing, and sell an easy 2 million copies for Treyarch. Treyarch has an easy job right now just porting it over, they have no reason for not making it perfect.

Gameplay Trailers and videos are expected some time this month.

Another Combat Arms Patch

After many emails and forum posts on combatarms.nexon.net, Nexon released another patch to even out the new game mode "Quarantine" which involves the objective for the infected as trying to infect all of the humans, and the human objective is simply to stay alive. But it's not simple for the humans. Sure the humans have any weapon they want, but with 600 HP in the host zombies, and 450 HP in the recently infected zombies, they simply will not day. The humans have about a 1 in 100,000 chance of killing a zombie, and the humans only have 100 HP, so they get infected after one swipe. Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention, the zombies can run for an extremely long time. Out of the at least 100 rounds I played of "Quarantine Mode", there were literally only 4 rounds in which at least 1 human survived the whole three minutes? So what would nexon do? They just simply moved the zombie HP down to 300, but the host zombies are still at 600. Also, the Zombies can only sprint as long as humans can. So what was the outcome? Zombies still win just about every match as they still can't be killed.

So what should Nexon do now?

I suggest toning the host zombie HP down to 300, and the regular zombies down to 250 or so, or keep at 300. I can see how the objective of the mode isn't to kill the zombies though, so don't tone them down too much. I just suggest more maps for the mode, hopefully bigger maps to really make the zombies hunt, rather than a tiny little map where the Zombies can flank the humans from every direction. Also, making Humans SLIGHTLY faster than Zombies would help as well.

Call of Duty:Modern Warfare for the Wii Confirmed?

More sites are starting to write about the Call of Duty 4 coming to the Wii this November 10th. Also, GameFAQS.com has "Call of Duty:Modern Warfare" listed for the Wii. Notice that the "4" is missing as most likely the number will not be in there.

Still no official announcement from Activision.

COD 4:MW coming to the Wii, Huge Update for Combat Arms

More details to be released before you read.

It has been rumored that Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare will be released this November 10th for the Wii. It is also rumored it is being made by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. This has all been said by kotaku.com. Kotaku also stated that Activision is making the official announcement today (Wednesday).

Also, a recent update on Combat Arms for the PC contains a new Quarantine Zombie Survival mode.

Hope or no Hope for Modern Wiifare 2?

No Hope----GameBattles has taken off the Modern Warfare 2 Arena from the Wii Ladders

Hope----Activision just now announced a Nintendo DS version, and has yet to say "no" to questions asking if it will be out for the Wii.

Wii Servers Down

From about 3 PM EST to about 5 PM EST, Wii Servers were down. This was first noticed by me when I tried to connect online to The Conduit. I connected online, but it kept disconnecting when trying to connect to other players. I then connected to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I got disconnected when trying to match up with other players. Some people have claimed it to just be server traffic, but it is matchmaking maintanence. I am not sure if it is for any specific game or made any significant improvements, but it is supposed to help matchmaking be faster and more reliable. I am currently trying to contact inside sources from High Voltage Software to see exactly what went on.

Nintendo Sales plummet 40%

Nintendo has recently announced their sales figures for Quarter 1 of 2009. Their sales for Quarter 1 were an estimated $2.66 Billion, down from the estimated $4.45 Billion from last year's First Quarter.

It isn't just Nintendo hurting though, Sony is also in some pain.

These companies wonder what's going on, and why the 360 isn't suffering so much. That's easy, they have HUGE releases right around the corner, along with a new XBOX Live Dashboard update August 11. What have the PS3 and Wii suffered? There haven't been any huge new games for them. The Conduit was just released for the Wii, and those sales aren't included in the Quarter 1 sales, but one game isn't enough to do anything, and then Wii Sports Resort should help Nintendo out some. But what you need to do Nintendo, is a BIG update. I mean Wii Movie Channel big, or Free Demo Channel big. Something that will put the Wii at that caliber of the 360. A Movie Channel would be the perfect thing to catch gamers' attention to go get a Wii, and then you would make profit with every movie sold.

PC Gets No Prestige Edition

It has been confirmed by Infinity Ward that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not be available in a Prestige Edition or any Limited Edition. That's right PC Gamers, there will not be any Night-Vision Goggles for you :(

Games afraid of
Modern Warfare 2

Who would be afraid of a video game?

How about other game companies. Well Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 is apparently, REALLY SCARY. After seeing a really polished and excellent Multiplayer trailer emphasizing custom kill streak set ups, and flying planes after killing 11soldiers in a row. Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, and Splinter Cell: Conviction have all delayed from their Quarter 4 2009 release to an early 2010 release. Not only that, but apparantly Ubisoft is even afraid of Modern Warfare 2 affecting their Wii game sales, as they have delayed the release of the highly awaited Red Steel 2. This game sounds excellent!

Bungie done with Halo?

In an interview, Bungie representatives have stated that

Halo:Reach is the last console game they are creating.

This will be the last time Bungie is invloved with Halo.

Modern Warfare 2 Kill Streak and Multiplayer details released

Not all details, but just take a look and read

Make sure to watch the trailer too.

All I can say is,
AMAZING!!!

Wii Movie Channel going w o r l d w i de

There is already live movie streaming in Japan for those with the Nintendo Wii. The other consoles already have that here in the United States and also in Europe, but with Nintendo being in Japan, everything is launched first in Japan (I know, it's no fair). But it is reported that there could be a Wii Movie Channel "Very soon." How soon? That, nobody but Nintendo knows. Hopefully the movies will be cheaper than my Verizon FiOS On Demand.

Note: It is not confirmed this movie channel will be run through Netflix, however it has been rumored that this is true.

Gears of War Movie, and how to get unbanned from a website

First lets get to the gaming topic. It is reported and confirmed that there will be a feature film based off of the popular video games Gears of War and Gears of War 2. There is no timetable or plot line set, but there should be a movie within the next year or two.

Now I know this is a gaming site, but I just found out how to get unbanned from most websites. I was banned from gamefaqs.com recently for advertising the site (silly me) and I figured out how to get unbanned. So if you ever get banned, leave me a comment, or email me at gamingnewsnrumors@yahoo.com and I will show you how to get unbanned.

Next Resident Evil in 3D

No, not the video game, but since there is also a movie series, I might as well post this here. It is reported that the next Resident Evil movie will have 3D capabilities.

Updates for The Conduit???

After speaking with the Design Director of The Conduit, I have sent in many ideas to create a better game experience. He has sent them along to all of the other devs and has said there is a strong possibility it can be done, but no guarentees. Now, we all know the Wii can't get DLC and map packs, but HVS might just be ready to push the Wii once again. Some things I sent in are videos of some glitches to get inside bases (Not saying which map) and other glitches to patch. He replied that those can definitely be fixed, but there are consequences they have to take into consideration. Another thing is xp boosts for certain game modes such as Last Man Standing, Three Strikes, and Bounty Hunter. The max amount of kills you normally get in these game modes is around 10, and only about 15-20 xp for a 15 minute match. They want to change this. Also, we might see some FFA game modes become Team Objective or Team Reaper game modes. One idea that was brought about by someone else was Team Bounty Hunter, or a Halo type teams of 2 game mode (6 teams of 2 or something). He said those are very interesting and the team will look into them. Also, he has said some more about all the bugs and hackers. There are no 100% definites on any of these, but they have some very good chances.

World of Warcraft Movie

No great details on it yet. But I will keep posted on it's progress and release dates.

New Gaming Social network

Head on over to http://www.fps-gamers.ning.com/ to chat with other gamers from either the game you play or from an entirely different game. It's a cool place to share photos, videos, machinimas, comments, blogs, and more. I already have one dev from High Voltage Software there (The lead animator for The Conduit) and I am also close to getting more devs from HVS and other companies to join. Just head on over to exchange Wii Friend Codes, or XBOX Live Gamertags also with other gamers.

Halo Legends is a go!!!

Microsft has confirmed that the Halo anime series "Halo Legends" will be a series of 7 short videos containing MasterChief as the main character. Nothing has been confirmed on the storyline, what channels it will air on, etc. They haven't even created anything yet. But eventually they will. There is no timetable, but Microsoft will be working with 5 or 6 Japanese animation studios. Now where it will be on TV we do not know (USA, Japan?) but I'm sure it will be on Hulu when it's all said and done :)

New XBOX Live Dashboard Update

August 11 - There will be many new features for your XBOX 360 Dashboard such as improved Netflix features, on-demand games, Avatar Marketplace, and even more.

New Microsoft Handheld

Rumor has it that Microsoft has begun plans on a new handheld with the name somewhere around the likes of the ZuneX. In typical Microsft fashion, they're making this the best they can be. They are rumored to be including apps, as well as a cell phone feature. Look out Apple, Microsoft is in the house.

Modern Warfare 2 Controller

On Infinty Ward's Twitter, it was posted that this person was going to a meeting about a Modern Warfare 2 controller, he then asked if the gamers preferred convex or concave grips on the joysticks. Pretty interesting seeing as how Infinity Ward already has Night-Vision goggles planned for this incredible game/"way of life." LOL. It's more than just a game.

Also, make sure to join my social network at fps-gamers.ning.com I already have 1 dev there from High Voltage Software and am looking to get even more devs from other gaming companies, but it must get popular first, and you can make that possible.

Sega's new Lottery game???

Check out the site and see for yourself.

Believe it or not, it is actually a countdown, but a cool way of counting down. Maybe it's pool, maybe it's table sports in general, or maybe it really is a lottery game.

Sega who is known to keep the gamers guessing (The Conduit website which requires decoding alien language and hidden secrets [conduitgame.com]) has once again stumped us a little. We'll just have to wait and see.

Wii System Update 4.1

Make sure to update your Wii if you have one. I'm not sure exactly what it is for, maybe a minor update for The Conduit??? I hope it's a fix for the shotgun.

Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Pack

It has been confirmed after numerous teases from a username on Twitter of unboxings, that the unboxing was actually for a package of Night-vision goggles. Yes, Night Vision goggles will be included with the newly announced Prestige pack which will also come with a token to download Call of Duty 1. A price has been named for the Prestige Pack now at $149. The Prestige Pack will also come with a Concept Artbook.

The Grinder to have DLC?!?!

The Wii's version of Left 4 Dead which comes out aound Quarter 4 of 2010 may recieve DLC. Inside workers from High Voltage Software who have already made the number one game ever (The Conduit) are now making a new monster hunter for the Wii which will include Online versus mode and 4 player online co-op as well as many other features. Now an insider has told us that they really want to put in the ability for Downloadable Content and updates after the game's release. The said this too for The Conduit, but The Conduit was being created before the 4.0 Wii System Update with the addition of an SD card menu to directly store data to an SD Card. They are working closely with Nintendo to do this, and are looking for ways to do DLC on the Wii as it has not been done.

Halo just isn't what it used to be....

From various people I've heard from and gamers everywhere, they just aren't intrigued with Halo 3 or even the future release of Halo 3: ODST. Without any masterchief in the picture, a new game means nothing. They just want to wait until Halo Reach...

Lower the risk of bugs and freezing in The Conduit

As many Conduit players know, there are some annoying bugs in the online multiplayer. Some of these are freezing, spawning outside of the map when first joining a game, etc. The frequency of these happening has decreased lately as High Voltage Software and Nintendo have made sure the servers update themselves to better fit the game, but these still happen occasionally. To lower the risk, I found first of all you should join a Regional mode. With Worldwide you now run into the risk of playing in a match with players across the globe since yesterday was the Europe release date. Regional doesn't force the servers to try and connect you or authenticate you on someone else's Wii who is far, far away. Next I found to join either Team Reaper or Team Objective the best. Most players play Free-For-All, so the servers are more full in that game mode. Lastly, don't play in the evening around 4-6 PM. This is when everybody is getting home and turning on their console to play The Conduit.

I hope I helped.

Also, High Voltage Software has stated they are working closely with Nintendo to fix these bugs completely hopefully just server-side, but it might require an actual firmware update through the Wii Shop Channel.

Put the "COD" back in Modern Warfare 2

Activision: "Okay."

Activision has confirmed after an inside Twitter post was made that the name "Call of Duty" will now be a part of the Modern Warfare 2 game. After first announcing it would just be Modern Warfare 2 because the series was splitting away from Call of Duty, they decided to bring it back. Pre-Sales were not doing nearly as well as those of Call of Duty 4 before release or Call of Duty World at War before release. It apparantly took away a lot of gamer awareness. So now you can call it COD 6 again :)

Hacker Prevention Being Worked On

After contacting both Nintendo and High Voltage Software, they have bot replied with basically the same message, and these weren't automated/automatic replies, these were real people, not the company in general. I have my inside contacts. Anyways, they said they are working on a way to prevent hackers from ruining online games such as The Conduit. This could mean a new system update for the Wii to scan for re-written files whenever a user connects to Wi-Fi connection. I certainly hope this truly happens.

Maps in Halo 3: ODST

Here's a link for some snapshots of new maps in Halo 3:ODST.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/100/1001564p1.html

In my opinion, they just look like regular maps from Halo 3. They look all the same. Nothing exciting, but I could be wrong. That is just a sneak-peek.

Epic sticking with the classic controller

While there was recent news of Bungie and Epic being given Natal cameras to experiment with, Epic has come out and said that they do not believe they will be using the camera anytime soon according to IGN.com. And I don't understand right now either how first-person shooters would become pure motion sensing without any controllers. How would the player run? How would they shoot? How would they do anything in a shooting game without a controller. It will take one brave company to think of a way. But as far as I can guess, you won't be seeing any Call of Duty or Halo type games using Project Natal anytime soon.

New game consoles to look for

While we have heard to not expect the next generation of game consoles until around 2013-2015, there are some expected updates to the current consoles. Microsft is supposedly planning a new XBOX 360 to better incorporate Project Natal, Sony is expected to also create a new PS3 to incorporate their motion-sensing controller, and there have been rumors for years that Nintendo is planning a new Wii HD. We should start seeing some of these as early as 2010.

July 3rd- All hackers banned by Nintendo?!?!

Yes, Nintendo took action. After on-going complaining about hacking, Nintendo sent out a global banning of any hackers - including Wii gamers who currently have the Homebrew Channel installed on their Wii console. This is after on-going complaints by Wii gamers, including myself, about hacking of specifically Mario Kart Wii, Call of Duty World at War, and especially The Conduit. And it's a shame these hackers ruin games too. The Conduit is a great game as expected, but there are many hackers. While High Voltage Software has done their best to remove videos on YouTube of how to hack (they removed all of them because they claimed them as copyrighted), Nintendo now did the banning. The only problem is...You can actually just call Nintendo back, and they will un-ban you if you give a good explanation. But hopefully it puts some fear into some hackers. But HVS members if you read this, these are hackers to look out for - RobPWNS, K3vinPWN, and Hetoan2. HVS and Nintendo are well aware though, and hope to put a complete end to video game hacking. This is a good step forward though.

Send in requests to High Voltage Software

Now that The Conduit is out, HVS can start working on The Grinder (Even though I think The Conduit needs some updates to fix freezing, spawning in walls, and other glitches). You can send in requests to them through many different ways to request something in The Grinder. However, the main way is through feedback@high-voltage.com. They read all of their emails. They have already recieved many requests for a crossbow, so they are putting one in.

Wii getting movies?

Reports have it that Netflix has offered to bring live video streaming to the Wii, and if it doesn't work, Nintendo wants to do live video streaming anyways.

Also, The Conduit is AWESOME!!!

Activision Threatens to Leave Playstation 3

We may just be nearing the end of Sony and their video game days. While the Playstation 3 already drags well behind the XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii sales-wise, now they're main publisher and who they work with might be gone. Activision said they are losing too much money, and obviously they are.

It's a shame too, because in my opinion the PS3 is the best game console out there. But Sony can't keep making systems that require huge deposits from peoples' bank accounts (including the PSP Go!) Come on Sony! The PSP Go! costs as much as the Wii! And when the PS3 was first released, it was $700!!! You can't compete in this economy with such high prices. You have to start thinking about more basic and family-friendly systems.

NEW Conduit multiplayer details (Must Read!)

Okay, some exciting new details have emerged about The Conduit. It's nice for Wii players to finally have a game where the designing company replies to pretty much every question.

- 8 character username limit (kinda stinks, but oh well)

-Wii Speak can be used in Public Matches (Thought for a while it might only be for private games.)

- No Rocket Jumps (Take that annoying glitchers)

- No booting hosts with bad connections (Nintendo won't allow it, but they do have a unique connection balancing system supposedly)

- 32 friend limit, but you can Wii Speak with friends of friends, so the max amount of people in the game that you can chat with is up to 1024 people!!!

- No annoying invites in the middle of a match. When you go online, you can view your friend list, and it will tell you who is on, and where they are playing. You can then join the game they're in and team up with them.

Note: I will have even more details soon on Wii Speak, as well as other ways to add friends.

No New XBOX 360 for Natal

While recent rumors were that Microsoft would be launching a new XBOX 360 to better utilize Project Natal, the Director of XBOX 460 Product Management announced that there are no plans for a new XBOX 360 any time soon. We'll just have to wait and see.

Corruption (Xbox Live, and Nintendo Wii)

XBOX Live "scratchy"

After Tuesday's Live maintenance which lasted about 24 hours, Live is having some problems. There have been frequent server errors, and laggy gameplay since the "server maintanence." I don't know what Microsoft did, but it has to be fixed soon

Nintendo Wii Failure

I strongly suggest if you have not updated your Wii to version 4.0, then DON'T. I already updated my Wii, and about 2 weeks after updating, I have been getting frequent disc read errors, server connection errors, and Wii Remote "spazzims."

There have been MANY other stories about after 2 weeks of updating, people have had many problems. Hopefully nintendo realizes this, and fixes it soon.

-On a better note, The XBOX 360 Arcade console now contains a 512 MB built in Harddrive.

The Conduit Report Card & Release date on the site

Many ratings have come about since The Conduit has been announced and shown in 2006 at E3. So now it's my turn. Also, from June 23-26, visit the site often for hourly gameplay videos and reviews about The Conduit, along with a Hardcore Conduit background.

Controls: A+ While the controls grade for many games can hurt the game in a huge way, The Conduit is completely controllable. The gamer has full rull over the controls and can set them and the HUD to however they want.

Weapons: A+ While there isn't as much weapon variety as in games like Call of Duty World at War, the weapons are almost perfectly balanced. In many other games there would always be at least one noob weapon that everybody used because of how beast it was. The best weapon to my knowledge would by the Deatomizer (Shoots a laser and kills enemies in seconds), but The laser only lasts about 4 seconds until you have to reload, and you only get 4 clips. So it's very balanced. Also, a shotgunner or person arming the SCAR could easily take out someone using the Mitonizer.

Players: A- Many people had hoped for a nice 8 vs. 8 online FPS, but unfortunately High Voltage Software had to cut that down to 6 vs. 6 to keep the graphics in tact. Still fun gameplay though.

Graphics: A+ By far the best game graphically I have EVER seen and experienced on the Wii. While online multiplayer graphics are toned down from what they are on single player, the visuals are still incredible.

Maps: B Only 7 maps that we know of. Still some interesting ones, but don't worry, the amound of game modes makes up for it.

Game Modes: A+ High Voltage Software continues to say there are 13 game modes, but we have only been notified of 11 specific game modes. So we might get 2 extras we don't know of at the time. There is so much variety in game modes, and there are so many that it should keep this game around for a while. 13 game modes easily destroys Call of Duty World at War's 4 main game modes.

Online Gameplay experience: B+ We have only seen gameplay on one map, and it didn't look that GREAT. It still looked fun, but I wasn't fully thrilled with everybody just charging and jumping all the time Halo-style. Although, we have to consider this was on the smallest map in the game. I expect the larger maps to take in some tactical gameplay.

Friend system: A- This is compared to other Wii game. Call of Duty never thrilled me with it's long 12 number friend codes, that BOTH people had to put in. The Conduit kind of jumps that, with just one having to put in the code (not confirmed), and also invites can quickly be sent to friends of friends. Voice chat also helps make up for the friend code experience.

Overall: A- (92%) While yes there are friend codes, not many maps, not many weapons, etc., there are still many great features. - Voice chat, many game modes, full control customization, and MORE. Full details on EVERYTHING will be on this site June 23rd.

-My Wii System Number (So when you get the game you can add me automatically and Wii Speak with me) - 7722-9515-6764-2208

The Conduit release pushed back in Europe

Sorry Europe gamers, you're going to have to wait a little longer. Not only did Europeans think they were getting the game June 12th and then find it was a typo (They weren't getting it until June 26th), but now the release date in Europe has been pushed back until July 10th. High Voltage Software says this is due to localization, and there will not be ANY changes to the USA release date which is currently June 23rd.

Call of Duty: Cold War?

Rumor has it that Call of Duty 7 will be based in the Cold War, as Treyarch and Activision are beginning to tire of the WWII theme along with the gamers out there. Having a Cold War based setting is definitely new to video games, but it makes perfect sense for Treyarch. Now that Infinity Ward is no longer part of the Call of Duty series, the Call of Duty games cannot all be in WWII times. Having this switch should help increase sales even more for Treyarch and Activision. There aren't any details or even any confirmation on this, but the setting of the game was leaked not too long ago.

The Conduit DLC?

A couple days ago, there was another interview with High Voltage Software's Eric Nofsinger. One of the questions was, "Will The Conduit have any kind of DLC after it's release?" And in reply, the statement was basically saying very soon. While in the past HVS only said for The Conduit 2 (sequel), but now he mentioned the new SD memory card Wii System Update, and that Nintendo is doing some great things to hopefully allow them to perform updates sooner.

So only time will tell.

- NOTE: Stop by gamingnews.tk from June 23-26 for live video gameplay and updates on The Conduit. The background of the site will also become Conduit featured.

New XBOX in 2010 & Wii DEMO play confirmed

New XBOX
After the released news of XBOX 360's Project Natal, Microsoft is very impressed with how this is going so far. So impressed, that in fact they even hinted at a new XBOX console very soon which will better utilize the motion-sensing camera. It will be almost just like the XBOX 360, but there will be many more features for Project Natal which will take motion-sensing gaming to a whole new level. If you haven't seen any videos of Natal, then you must. Check out YouTube and just search Project Natal. It will amaze you!

We have a heard a lot and seen a lot of these console updates and changes based on key products or features being released after the release of the console.

EXAMPLE: Playstation 2 begins airing Online multiplayer
-Playstation 3 is released with full online capabilities.

Nintendo Gamecube is released. Nintendo has ideas about motion controls.
-Wii is almost immediately released

Rumors about Wii HD coming since the uprising of the desire for HD gaming.

Wii Demo Play
No this isn't yet free downloadable demos for the Wii like what the 360 has. But this is appealing to new gamers. This system will be released with the release of New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. What happens is if a player is stuck on a certain area, they can pause the game and see demo play to help them be guided to the end of the level. It begins with one game, but we may even soon see this in other Mario games, and maybe even Hardcore games.

Halo 3 ODST to be full price

Many have speculated that Halo 3 ODST should not be a full $60 because it is more like an expansion to Halo 3. Bungie wasn't buying it. And honestly, I'm not either. This game is far more than just an expansion. Just because it takes place at roughly the same time as Halo 3 does not mean it is just an add-on. This is a full game.

Also, Gamestop will be selling a Halo 3 ODST Collector's addition. This will cost $100, but it will be worth it. One incentive for buying this edition is a custom Halo UNSC controller. There are also 3 secial multiplayer maps, the maps from the Halo Mythic Map Pack, and an invitation to participate in the Halo Reach BETA.

Site update coming sooner than expected!!!

Yes, another site update already. Truthfully, the site has not lived up to its full potential. Having a site with a .tk name sounds amateur even though we are not amateur. Sometime in the next day or two, gamingnews.tk will become elitegamingnews.com!!! I will have an automatic re-direct link here so in the future if you visit this site, you can still automatically go to the new site. The ew site will feature more background and theme updates with more variety involved, I will have things such as YouTube videos, Google search, and even direct ways to Twitter right from the new site, and there will be more than just a blog. I do not have an exact timetable on the update seeing as how this is again in the hands of Sheamus Crowley my graphic designer/web update conductor. A big props goes to him on this.

God of War III

One of the hottest games at thisyear's E3 was God of War III. I know E3 was kind of a while ago, but honestly not much gaming news has happened today other than the release of Map Pack 2 for Call of Duty World at War.

For those of you that dont know about the God of War series, it is about this beastly guy named Kratos who basically seeks revenge on the gods for betraying him. He travels through the darkest places and takes out the largest monsters ever known to the video game world.

God of War III features stunning graphics. The textures are a full 4 times greater than the textures in God of War 2. That's just the main difference. The other new thing about God of War III is that there will be more and newer weapons fetured throughout this Greek mythology time period of God of War. But what I'm most interested in is all the blood!!! I have never seen a game so gory while still keeping its cool. Eventually believe it or not, there are games thae become to gory and unnecassary, but this is that perfect mix of Hardcore gameplay with a red background all over your screen while you play.

God of War III is currently scheduled to release March 30 of 2010.

Map Pack 2 problems

As there usually is something that goes wrong, something has gone wrong today in Treyarch's release of Map Pack 2 for Call of Duty World at War on the XBOX 360, and PS3. The XBOX 360 release has gone smoothly so far, but some countries in the Playstation Network had problems with it. So Treyarch is trying extremely hard to work on that issue. Also, the US release even went a little wrong, as some people aren't able to buy it yet, but should be "Within the hour" (JD_2020 twitter)

SITE UPDATE: IN 2-3 WEEKS GAMINGNEWS.TK WILL BE UPDATING FROM A BLOG TO A FULL-FLEDGED SITE WITH A .COM DOMAIN NAME. GAMINGNEWS.COM IS ALREADY TAKEN, BUT I WILL LET ALL OF YOU KNOW WHEN THE SITE GOES PRO AND CHANGES NAMES. THERE WILL ALSO BE A DIRECT LINK TO THERE FROM THIS SITE. BUT STILL KEEP VISITING.

Battlefield 3 confirmed, Criterion making Need for Speed

Battlefield 3

EA has officially announced that Battlefield 3 is in production. While we gamers knew that it was coming eventually, it is a bit reassuring and good to know that they are working on it right now. There is no release date set or any details on the game, but the release should be around late 2010 or early 2011.

Need For Speed

Criterion will be the developer of the next Need For Speed. They are known for their own racing series Burnout which I think is safe to say is usually just right behind Need For Speed in popularity. Now the development team will be moving into the Need For Speed series eliminating that big competitor.

Nintendo almost went Natal, Site update in 2-3 weeks.

Nintendo ALMOST stepped it up

That's right. The key word - ALMOST. Nintendo the last year or so was deciding on whether or not to bring a motion-sensing camera to the Wii much like Sony's eyetoy in order to make an excellent selling system even better. However, Nintendo felt as though there were too many questions to be asked before they could make that decision. They didn't even move forward with the plan when they heard rumors of new motion-sensing gameplay for the XBOX 360 and PS3. Maybe this is why stats show that many new gamers start out with Nintendo, and then there next console is a playstation (1,2, or 3).

Nintendo states that until questions such as 'How much will it cost?' 'How well will it perform?' And 'What will it take to make it work?' are answered, they dont know if they made the right decision right now by walking away from a motion sensing camera. Lucky for Nintendo though, this holiday season, Ubisoft will be releasing a game called Your Shape (Yes, another fitness game in this fitness gaming era. All started by Nintendo by the way). This game will come with a motion sensing camera that will put the person inside the game, and show their body on screen so the game can see exactly if they are doing anything wrong. This technoloy could eventually be used for such games as first-person shooter, fighting games, or even skateboarding games in the future.

PrestigeGaming.com???

That's right. In approximately 2-3 weeks, gamingnews.tk will become prestigegaming.com. That isn't the confirmed website name, but it sounds cool as of right now. The site will also be leaving it's blog format, and become a full-fledged website. This is all thanks to Sheamus Crowley (My graphic designer) and you the viewers. Make sure to keep telling your friends and family. The more viewers I get per day is the faster this site can transform!

XBOX Live down next Tuesday

Just to let all of you XBOX 360 gamers out there know, XBOX Live next Tuesday will be down for up to 24 hours for server maintenance.

Godfather series finished, Nintendo wants to lure in Halo audience.

The Godfather all done

It's final, well.... at least that's what EA says. EA apparently is tired of taking the criticism. While the Godfather movies are world-known and very famous, the series of video games doesn't impress in the same way. After EA has taken heat from reviews on their latest game The Godfather 2, they've just said that they've had enough and won't make another Godfather video game. In my opinion the games are extremely fun, but apparently not in the eyes of other reporters. This doesn't necessarily mean the series is finished though. Another company could very well step in and take over if EA is true to their word.

Nintendo looking to Hardcore players

At first when I saw this, I immediately thought "Yes, finally!!! Nintendo has finally realized they will need to appeal to the Hardcore gamers as well!!" Well, that's not exactly what Nintendo means. According to Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime, "We think we [can] win over the Halo audience with something like The Conduit, a multi-player, online, shooting experience, or Dead Space Extraction. And you know what? Once those people buy into Wii, they'll go buy Mario Kart or Wii Fit Plus." In other words.. 'yup, we'll get them with these new Hardcore games, and then Nintendo-fy them. Turn them into non hardcore gamers by turning their brain to mush.' Honestly Nintendo, I've had it. For those of you who haven't realized yet, I have a Wii. I had a Nintendo 64, I had a Nintendo Gamecube. And honestly, I'm done after this. I'm a little tired of Nintendo consoles not living up to the hype. Microsoft, here I come!!!!

Halo 3: ODST

So one of the hottest new arrivals is Halo 3 ODST. This is a sequel to one of the greatest games ever on the XBOX, but yet this sequel takes you back in time a little bit.

This all takes place in between Halo 2 and Halo 3. And the biggest part, you're not playing as Masterchief. Nope. Masterchief is somewhere else saving the universe. So instead you are a regular human, part of your ODST squad.

The game begins with you playing as The Rookie. Your squad however is not anywhere to be found after your ship crashes. It is just you alone in the dark, looking to fight through Covanent troops and find your squadron.

Now some aspects of the ODST that you will notice are different from Masterchief are...

-No Radar
-Noticeable visor display
-Cannot duel-wield weapons
-Run slower
-Don't jump as high

- Quote Joseph Staten: "But you can still T-Bag!"

Basically how Staten summarized it was that this is basically like the MasterChief from Halo Combat Evolved. Not only is your character not as powerful as Masterchief from Halo 2 and 3, but also the pistols are on-shot kills when you get a headshot. So this is a pretty classic look for those Halo Combat Evolved players like myself.

Anyways, it's a really in-depth look to Halo 3: ODST which looks just NASTY GOOD!!! The full demo can be viewed at http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/852871/bungie-project-2/videos/halo3odst_e3demo_01_60809.html

Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2

So as many of us are excited about Modern Warfare 2 being released in about 5 months, that is a fairly long wait. So what can we do in the mean time???

Sometime this June (Treyarch for some reason never really announces exact dates) Map Pack 2 will be live with 3 new Multiplayer maps, and 1 new zombie map. But the main addition that we all want is the zombie map.

This Zombie Map is called Shi No Numa which means "Zombie Swamp" in Japanese. This is the third zombie map so far after the original (Nacht Der Untoten) and the update from Map Pack 1 (Verukt). This by far seems the most intense and Hardcore.

The first Zombie map that was in the game was simple Nacht Der Untoten which pretty much was a traditional Zombie survival mode with scattered guns, unlockable rooms, and random boxes.

The second zombie map (Verukt - "Zombie Asylum) was much different. Not only was it twice as hard to kill those brain-eaters, but now Zombies could hurt you through the barriers, and they began gaining speed much earlier in the rounds. However now we saw perk-a-cola machines, and electric fences.

The third Zombie map (Coming this June - Shi No Numa) is an even better map. It features all the same difficulties as Verukt, along with Perk-a-cola machines and electric fences. However now Zombies are even faster, look a bit different, and there are "Hell Hounds." Hell Hounds randomly spawn anywhere in the map, and immediately charge at you at full speed. It's all worth it though. When you kill them, they EXPLODE!!! What's cooler than that?!?!

Check your XBOX 360, PC, and PS3 this month for Map Pack 2. (No Updates for Wii)

People angered over Left 4 Dead 2, Germany tries to ban violent games.

Left 4 Dead 2

While most are eagerly awaiting and excited about the release of the new Left 4 Dead 2 coming in November, there are also some fans angered by it. Many XBOX 360 and PC gamers feel as though Valve chopped down the first Left 4 Dead, and didn't put enough effort into it. Some think that Valve should have focused on creating a map pack or other form of DLC, rather than making fans spend another $60 for a brand new game. Many feel as though it's a rip-off to spend a total of around $120 for two games that together have only as much content as one game.

As for me, I think it's worth it for this new game. Any zombie game gets the "okay" in my book/blog. So I do encourage you to buy the game.

Germany Tries to Ban Violent Video Games.

After a High School shooting in Germany where a 17 year old student took 16 lives, Germany ministers and executives are trying to ban violent video games. This not only affects Germany, but also affects the companies that brought us FarCry and other Hardcore games in the US and other parts around the world.

Project Natal in DETAIL

So Microsoft brought us a good in-depth video of Natal. In case you haven't heard, Natal is Microsoft's new motion-sensing camera without the need of a motion-controller. At first I wasn't too sure of the idea or how it would work out, but I was quickly convinced after seeing it in use.

The first thing I noticed was the Nintendo feel to the commercial/video. It was a family of 4 all sitting on the couch playing a game together. We used to picture Microsoft by seeing someone sitting in their basement alone having a blast playing Halo 3. But not anymore.

I was extremely surprised that it is completely controller free. Just turn on the XBOX 360, use a pushing/pressing motion to choose the game, or simply wave your hand to scroll through your options. It almost reminded me of a touch screen TV, but you never have to leave your couch.

First we see a kung-fu master on screen, watching the pacing boy who he refers to as Ian in the living room. The master moves his head and eyes to watch him as he paces back and forth. Next, they fight. Standing in front of the TV without pushing a single button, they get right down to some kung-fu. The gamer easily wins with a nice round-house to his master's face. So stressing the family fun of it, we typically don't see a family having fun kicking old samurai masters, but this looks oh-so cool.

Now we have more of a team involved, as the sister of the boy we saw previously gets right into a racing game. She begins to fall behind the others while steering her imaginary wheel from the couch, so she pulls in for a pit-stop. The dad hops off the couch, changes a tire, and the daughter is ready to roll (literally :D)

Now probably the coolest aspect is the direct scan and capture aspect of the camera. Ian is sitting on the couch, obviously ready to play some type of skateboarding game, as he has a skateboard in his hand. But why does he have a real board if he's playing a video game? He holds the board up in front of him on each side, as the camera scans the board. He then goes back to the game, to select the board he wants to play with. And there it is on screen - Ian's skateboard.

Now we still may want more. I don't know how, but that doesn't impress ALL of us. So we then see the girl again standing in front of the TV. The camera begins scanning her face, and puts an animated image of her on screen. Pretty cool. Now her friend appears on screen, and her friend begins talking to her about some new dress she found that would look great on her. So her friend on screen starts scrolling through, until the image of the dress she found shows.

Finally, we see the two parents at night sitting on the couch together, all comfortable and cozy. The mother starts waving her hand to scroll through a selection of movies. She makes her pick, and they watch the whole movie together. At the end of the credits, she says "Good night," And the XBOX shuts off not at the push of a button, but at a movement of the mouth.

Overall, I am very impressed. This could become big, and possibly even put Nintendo in jeapordy. Nintendo does have plans for a camera, but it will be hard to create one as well made as Microsoft's. And Sony at this time, has just started planning a motion-sensing controller.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

Alright, time to provide some late coverage on E3's sneak peak of Valve's Left 4 Dead 2. When I first heard about it I was pretty surprised. Left 4 Dead has only been out a good 6 months and they're already releasing footage from the newest installment.

Here is some information that could be found in the teaser trailer:
  • Left 4 Dead 2 will be released on November 12, 2009. Mark your calendars.
  • Left 4 Dead 2 will be based in southern US, unlike it's predecessor which was based in New York City.
  • The original Left 4 Dead was entirely during nighttime, which was presumably the only time zombies could walk the streets. However, the entire Left 4 Dead 2 teaser trailer was during the daytime, and zombies were still walking about as if it didn't bother them.
  • The only melee attack available in the original Left 4 Dead was a good whack to the face with the stalk of your gun, however, in Left 4 Dead 2 it appears you will be able to use frying pans, chainsaws, and possibly a good many more weapons that do not require ammunition.
  • Four new playable characters.
From other videos and articles I have also found that:
  • A whole new arsenal of guns will be available.
  • Despite the new melee weapons, the old "smash zombie skull with gun" will still be usable.
  • Pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails will still be usable.
  • Boomers and other special zombies from Left 4 Dead will still be making your day even better, but more special zombies will be added, including some new form of Tank.
The teaser trailer of Left 4 Dead 2 can be viewed straight off of the official Left 4 Dead website at: L4D.com.

Modern Warfare 2 BETA rumored for August.

I know it's just a rumor, and rumors aren't ALWAYS right. But this has taken on a form of its own. Supposedly the BETA for Modern Warfare 2 will be online and rolling in August of this year (about 3 months before the game's release.)

What will the next gen consoles be like?

Honestly, nobody knows. Not even the companies themselves.

Although, I will say Microsoft is confident having this new motion-sensing camera will increase sales dramatically, bringing new gamers to the XBOX 360. They seem to be turning to Nintendo's ideas. I expect Microsoft to create motion-sensing controllers for the next XBOX.

Nintendo though, says they have no clue, and I don't have a clue either. Nintendo says they are unsure if they will continue with motion controls, or turn to make a Hardcore console. Now, Nintendo is not known for bringing in Hardcore gamers obviously, but all of this might change when releases such as The Conduit, and The Grinder are released for the Wii. Although I definitely expect that for Nintendo's new console, they will create a MUCH better Harddrive for more advanced games.

And as for Sony, I also expect they will go on in the future with motion controls, and possibly even simplify their new console. Sony has a history of creating too advanced game systems that go for sale at outrageous prices.

Fallout 3 DLC June 23rd

It seems like June 23rd will be coming even more of a big video game today, not only is The Conduit being released for the Wii, but Fallout 3 DLC has also been confirmed for PC, AND XBOX 360 ONLY!!! No date has been set yet for the DLC release for the Playstation 3.

The Conduit UK release date controversy

ATTENTION WII OWNERS (FUTURE THE CONDUIT BUYERS!!!) Many of you living in the UK have probably seen on websites such as gamefaqs.com or other sites that The Conduit is scheduled for release in the UK on June 12th! That is false! First of all, Europe releases are almost always after USA releases, so this made me question this when I saw the 12th of June posted. It was just a typing mistake. The Conduit release date is set for June 26th in the UK and other parts of Europe. The release date for the US is June 23rd. Sorry folks in Europe. I just had to make sure to clear this up so a bunch of you didnt waste a trip to your local gaming store on June 12th.

(Also, we've learned about a new character in The Conduit

-John Adams
-The commander of Trust.

-Also, we learn some more about the Trust. The Trust is a (kind of) secret government organization that is meant to protect the world and USA from alien attacks and such.)

XBOX 360 staying until 2015

Microsoft has confirmed that the XBOX 360 will be staying until 2015. This most likely means that you can expect a new XBOX console to be released somewhere from 2012-2013.

No Wii HD will be coming

Nintendo reportedly claims there is 'no reason for Wii HD.' And actually believe it or not, they're right. Nintendo already is the best console making business out there right now, so why try to fix what's not broken? And even if they did come out with a Wii HD, the average Wii game's graphics aren't that good anyways, so even having HD capabilities, the graphics wouldn't be very real. Although this may change in the next year or so as the Wii sees an evolution in gaming thanks to High Voltage Software. High Voltage has releases scheduled for both The Conduit and The Grinder, two games that have XBOX 360 or PS3 type graphics. The Conduit is due for release on June 23rd of this year (I know I'm getting it), and The Grinder is due for a mid to late 2010 release.

No Modern Warfare 2 for Wii

Thursday at E3 came and went, with no announcement of the Wii at all when mentioning Modern Warfare 2. In the past 2-3 weeks, there have been many rumors stating that Modern Warfare 2 might be coming to the Wii. If there was any better time for Infinity Ward to announce it, it would have been on Thursday during the Modern Warfare 2 live demo. The chance of a late release for a Wii version still isn't ruled out completely, but I would give it about a 10% chance.

Project Natal

Is Microsoft a copy cat? It seems so. Back in 2005, Nintendo came out with the new generation of video games - the Wii. So we all know that. But what was unique about the Wii? - It's motion controls. And now Microsoft has released details about Natal. Natal is a new motion sensing camera for the XBOX 360. We still have to wait another year, but we already know it takes exact moments from the player, and then portrays it in whatever game you are playing. Sounds interesting, but then Nintendo (Well Ubisoft on behalf of Nintendo) had a fire back of its own. Ubisoft announced a new Wii camera which will launch sometime around the holiday season of this year. The battle of the consoles just keeps getting better.

Big Day at E3 (Modern Warfare 2, The Grinder, Quantum)

Today's a very big day for new and Hardcore video games.

- MODERN WARFARE 2
-Being presented today
- We will have more details such as maybe online details and other features

- BIOSHOCK 2
- Announced a couple days ago, but now we have some really good details from a Walkthrough demo. The first thing we find out is that now the player plays as the first "Big Daddy." You are basically an unstoppable force. Almost nothing can hurt you. Along the way, you find "little sisters." There is now a new feature in Bioshock 2, where you can "adopt" the little sister. This puts them on your shoulder, and you two basically form an alliance. You need these little sisters to collect Adam. Adam is used to add on to your "Big Daddy" and become even more dangerous. However the process of collecting Adam is difficult and long, so you must protect the little sister as she is collecting the Adam. Sounds fun. I've always wanted to control an unstoppable force.

- QUANTUM
- definitely based off of Gears of War. This is a Third Person Shooter, where you play as some big beastly guy with massive weapons and explosives.

-THE GRINDER
- Becoming more and more popular already. The Wii's version of Left 4 Dead should be the game of the year in 2010.

New Wii Zelda in 2010

It's official. Nintendo eventually has announced a new Zelda game for the Wii. During Nintendo's press conference there was never any mention of a new Zelda for the Wii, but there was a new one announced for the Nintendo DS. Many reporters and gamers everywhere were very disappointed, but the next day, we got the good news.

Not much is known about the new Zelda yet, other than that it will arrive in about a year.

- NOTE: I know the site is a little boring right now. Version 2 update will be ready to go in about a week.
